The Division for Teaching English as a Second Language (non-major postgraduate) is a dynamic teaching and learning community, with over 13 full-time teachers among whom there are 7 associate professors, 6 lecturers, 7 foreign teachers from different English-speaking countries like US, UK, Canada, Australia, etc., and 16 teaching assistants.
The Division offers instruction in critical writing, British and American culture to roughly three thousand students at graduate level, and in academic writing to about seven hundred students at doctoral level each academic year.
It has a very distinguished research and teaching record, covering Applied Linguistics, Bio-linguistics, English Classical Literature, Film Studies, Rhetoric and Communication, and other areas of study. We have numerous publications every year.
